How It Works

A useful quote starts with a shared understanding of the part. Here is how an enquiry moves from a starting point to an agreed next step.

1. Send your model or describe your idea

Use the quote form to tell us what you want to make. A model is optional. Include approximate dimensions, units, quantity and the intended use. You can upload one STL or self-contained 3MF mesh file up to 10 MB. If a file is not accepted, send the description first rather than changing its extension.

2. We review the requirements

We review the information to establish what needs clarifying. Questions may cover fit, surfaces, loads, material requirements, finishing or the purpose of a prototype. Feasibility and pricing are confirmed after that review. If more information or design work is needed, it is discussed before anything is agreed.

3. You approve the quote and specification

Check the proposed design, dimensions, units, quantity, material requirements and finish. Any important acceptance criteria should be written into the specification. Your enquiry is not an order; the project proceeds only after the quote and specification are approved.

4. Production and delivery arrangements are confirmed

The production plan, timing and delivery or collection arrangements are confirmed for your project. Tell us about a preferred date when you enquire. We review that request without promising availability in advance.

If the design changes

Send the revised information before production is agreed. A change to geometry, quantity, material requirements or finish can affect feasibility, price and timing, so the quote may need to be reviewed.

A helpful first enquiry

  • Say what the part must do, not only what it should look like.
  • Call out critical dimensions and any parts that must fit together.
  • Explain what would make the result useful to you.
  • Tell us about uncertainties; they are easier to resolve before a specification is approved.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Something in mind? Let’s give it shape.

Send a model, a description or a question. We’ll start with the requirements.
